The Hoover Platinum has been a excellent addition to our home. We are in our mid 70s and a light weight, powerful vacuum upright is just what we needed. It only weighs around 16 pounds and is easy to push around. The platinum has plenty of power too, so we are 100% pleased with this product and the price.Hoover UH30010COM Platinum Lightweight Bagged Upright Vacuum Cleaner with Canister

I thought such a tiny bag would fill up fast and have to be replaced often. Instead, I have been using mine for over six months and it is still going strong and filtering the air beautifully – just like the first day I had it. I use my canister to supplement the Hoover Platinum Lightweight Bagged Upright (LBU), to dust furniture, ceiling vents, floor baseboards, drapes, under deep furniture, and also to vacuum out the underside of the LBU and the interior when I change the bag (though admittedly, that last one I have done only once). Totally worth it!

I was very excited about getting this vacumm because the reviews were so good. I have a hip and foot problem so vacumming is difficult. (No I’m not old but fractured my heel which through off my hip). In two of my rooms I have a very thick semi-shag and with this vacuum it is very hard to push. I end up using both hands to push and pull it. On the other hand it works wonderful on area rugs, tile and hardwood. So I went back to my self-propelled Hoover, which breaks frequently might I add, once it got back from the repair shop and use the Platium only on the above mentioned. It has great suction and lifts the pile well on all the carpets but what I have been using the most is the little hand-held vacumm that came with it in place of having the tools on board. This helps lighten the weight of the main vacumm. I use it to sweep my kitchen floor in between the normal vacumming, to clean my car, for any quick job. Overall I was pretty satisfied with everything. My only suggestion would be to improve its performance on the heaver carpets.

These replacement bags came in a timely manner.
This is alot easier than going crazy looking for a store that sells them.
Great buy.

Hoover is rightfully proud of these beautiful silky clothlike vaccuum bags. Not your normal paper stuff, they are made of a soft quilty material, almost too nice to put inside a vaccuum.
They hold maybe 30 percent more than the bags from my old Eureka boss, but cost about 3 times as much. They work great, not a hint of pollen or dust escapes into the room. They look great. Just another little luxury that makes me feel more secure about who I am and what American craftmanship stands for.
